Packing Supervisor

Packing Supervisor

Bradford (on-site)

Full-time / Permanent

Looking for a jam-packed role?

You will work on site at our Bradford production facility, overseeing all packing and labelling activities of our manufactured product and co-ordinating goods to despatch within the required timescales.

This is a small team which comprises you, as Packing Supervisor, and a packing operative, so great team working skills are needed; there’s lots to do in this role, which will suit you fine as you’ll be someone who thrives on being busy, achieving results and providing a great service.

You will work with high levels of accuracy to ensure the correct packing and labelling requirements are met and appropriate certificates are issued. Working closely with department supervisors and managers you will agree packing priorities and keep management teams updated on any potential or existing issues via the daily production meeting or ad-hoc as required.

The packing area handles a variety of packaging and you will need good manual handling awareness to assess lifting requirements, ensuring that the appropriate lifting support is arranged for anything more than manual light lifting.

What about you? You will have previous packing experience preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment, demonstrate the ability to take ownership for the smooth running of the packing area and supervising team members, and use your IT literacy to enter updates into the Materials Resource Planning System (we use SAP) and use MS Office.

You probably want to know more about the business – our products, our plans, and our history. We are a respected global leader in providing innovative metrology solutions. Our first-class reputation has been built on the continuing Group ethos of striving for excellence in both the comprehensive range of products that we supply and the many quality services that we provide to our customers.

If this sounds good, then drop us an email, along with a copy of your CV and salary expectations, and tell us why this is the role for you (careers@spearandjacksongroup.com).
